Ciudades, esos enormes, grandes o no tan grandes núcleos urbanos.
Lugares donde vivimos, experimentamos, descubrimos, nos
movemos, interactuamos con otros y, en definitiva, nos desarrollamos.
Lugares donde permanecer una vida entera, pasar una época o simplemente
días…
Tan distintas y a la vez tan similares entre si.
ARQUITECTURA _
Edificios residenciales, lúdicos, culturales, comerciales… Distintas tipologías
y estilos que responden a su programa y que se combinan en el espacio formando
una lienzo rugoso y cambiante que siempre queda interrumpido, irremediable y necesariamente por infinitos elementos lineales que parecen haber sido dibujados de manera mas o menos rigurosa por cualquiera de nosotros.
Hablamos de las CALLES: calzadas y aceras esenciales para nuestra
movilidad y que se convierten así en los verdaderos canales y conductores de
flujos, personas y vehículos.
Arquitectura y vías de comunicación, son las que combinadas
y siguiendo siempre un sistema mas o menos ordenado componen esa primera capa o
red básica, URBANISMO, ésa que podemos ver desde la ventanilla de un avión cuando sobrevolamos una ciudad en la noche.... cada imagen es distinta, pero no hay ciudad que no la posea.
Sobre ésta se superponen infinitas redes más, que al final, componen y dan vida a lo que, hoy
por hoy conocemos como CIUDAD.
El problema es que estamos tan acostumbrados a ellas que muchas veces no somos
conscientes de su complejidad.
Parémonos un segundo y observemos… Cuántas capas o redes físicas o no podemos
distinguir superpuestas entre si?
Probablemente no haya una cifra concreta, sino que ésta dependerá
del grado de profundidad y atención con la que cada cual estudie su entorno.

Places
where we live, discover, we move, get in touch with others and definitely grow.
Places
where we can spend a all life, a period of time, or just a few days….
As
different as similar between them….
ARCHITECTURE
_ leaving, commercial, leisure, cultural buildings…. Different typologies and
styles that belongs to their own program and together, create a huge wrinkled
and changeable 3 dimensional surface that is always necessarily interrupted by
a infinity number of linear elements that seem to have been drown by any of us
in a very free way.
We are
talking abut the STREETS. They are essential for our movility and because of
that, they become the real fluxes, people and vehicles drivers.
The
combination of architecture and communication lines generate this first layer
the URBANISM, It is the one that we can see from the airplane window everytime
we overfly a city at night… Each image is different, but we can't find a city
without it.
Above it,
there are many others, that, at the end, create what we now know as CITIES.
The problem
is that we are so used to them that many times we don’t see their complexity.
Let’s stop
one second just to observe… How many
layers, physical or not can we distinguish?
Probably, there
is not a concrete number, but it will depends on the attention that each one pays
to look to it.
